position summary: the testing engineer is responsible facilitating interactions between the manufacturing test team and the product design and test developers. the successful candidate will be a subject matter expert on manufacturing test and software installation and provide support for the manufacturing team. the ideal candidate will have overall responsibility for coordination of operational process improvements. this involves performing analysis of the supply chain, identifying a solution and working with functional teams to drive for improvement. job responsibilities: list the professional and/or technical competencies needed when performing the key responsibilities of the position. explain the degree to which this position affects the business (i.e. making decisions, defining or setting strategy, etc.). please further explain the breadth of the impact this position has (i.e. affects own team, department, function, division, geography, etc.). deliver repeatable stable test processes to manufacturing. troubleshoots functional issues and recommends corrective actions drive field improvement. monitors factory processes against performance requirements. communicates complex technical issues to other teams and organizations. drive best practices and lessons learned from experience with internal teams. drive strategies in support of organizational, functional, and business goals. utilize product and process postmortems to drive preventative actions and process improvement plans. utilize key manufacturing metrics to identify areas to improve manufacturability efficiency. train support team to ensure downtime is minimized and yields are maximized.
experiencia y requisitos
basic qualifications: minimum 5 + years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work. advanced manufacturing engineering (ame) experience required. experience with building and testing computers or electronics systems. project management skills in planning, organizing, leading and controlling project progress and implementation. experience in working across different functional teams. understanding of process re-engineering/continuous improvement methodologies. understanding of assembly manufacturing processes and supply chain. excellent presentation skills and written and verbal communication. understand trend, pareto and action analysis processes. o control plan & pfmea o root cause problem solving lean/60 preferred qualifications: preferred experience with acoustical engineering and testing of acoustical signals eligibility requirements: willingness to travel up to 15-20% willingness to work in an office. any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
